Welcome to Parc y Llong, just a few minutes drive along the country lanes from Britain's fabulous new racecourse, Ffos Las. Parc y Llong Cottages are delightful 17th Century former canal worker's cottages that nestle in idyllic rolling countryside with many natural meadows and woodland, home to wildlife and many wild flowers. The charming grounds are bordered by the River Gwendraeth.

Kidwelly is a coastal town full of legend and myth set on the estuary with its craggy coves and picturesque scenery. At its heart a Medieval Castle built in 1106 sits on the River Gwendraeth. There are local shops, garages and good pubs serving tasty food. We are on the doorstep to Pembrey Country Park with its vast ‘Cefn Sidan’ beach sweeping round to 500 acres of beautiful parkland enclosing family attractions and visitor centre. Follow the tide in on the beach and collect delicious cockles for supper…….mmmmm

Pembrey is also home to the National Motorsport Centre of Wales. One may join the Millennium Coastal Walk from here which has a 22km traffic-free coastal/cycleway and overlooks the spectacular Gower Peninsula and passes through the transformed harbour of Burry Port. Then on to Llanelli, one of the most famous rugby towns is home to the passionately-supported team The Scarlets.

So although of a rural location, the cottages are within easy reach of the excellent beaches on the Carmarthenshire coastline and the town of Kidwelly is ideally situated for touring the Pembrokeshire National Park, the Gower Peninsula & the Brecon Beacons.

Parc y Llong Cottages can also be viewed on Holiday Lettings.
